Who we are

Hello, I’m Richard Bailey, the voice behind Sudaribo Sounds.

By day, I’m a primary school teacher, working closely with young children and seeing first-hand the power of stories, imagination and character in shaping how we learn and connect. By training, I’m also an undergraduate in Drama, where I developed a deep love for performance, voice, and bringing written words to life.

Sudaribo Sounds was created to sit right at the crossroads of those two worlds.

I specialise in character-driven voice work — from warm and reassuring narrators to bold heroes, quirky creatures and everyday voices filled with humour and heart. Whether it’s children’s stories, fantasy audiobooks, educational content or short-form character pieces, my focus is always the same: to give great stories a voice and help characters feel real.

My background in education means I understand pacing, clarity and engagement — especially for younger audiences — while my drama training fuels expressive performances that bring personality, emotion and energy to every script. I love exploring how voice can create entire worlds, spark imagination, and make people stop, listen and feel something.

Sudaribo Sounds is more than just voiceover — it’s about storytelling, collaboration and creativity. I’m always excited to work with writers, educators, animators and creators who want their ideas to live beyond the page.

If you’ve got a character waiting to speak, I’d love to help give them a voice.
